About the Northwest University Partnership Program

The Northwest University Partnership Program (NPP) is a unique partnership between Northwest University (NU) and the International Ministry Academy that allows Northwest University to offer Associate and Bachelor’s degrees with the highest level of accreditation as an integrated part of International Ministry Academy’s internship or leadership development program. Through the NPP, students earn college credits toward AA and BA degrees that can be completed at International Ministry Academy’s NPP, at Northwest University’s Kirkland campus, or even transferred to other public and private colleges or universities, all while serving in their local internship program. The NPP combines what Northwest does best (Academics), with the ministry training we do best (Internships), all in the highly-supportive relational environment of our organization.

Northwest Partnership Program Highlights:

  • Highest Level of Accreditation – Regional Accreditation through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), that means…

  • Degrees earned through the NPP are Northwest degrees, the same as those earned in our traditional programs on our campus in Kirkland, WA.

  • NPP Courses transfer to other accredited colleges and universities, both public and private.

  • The NPP Qualifies for Federal Financial Aid (loans and grants).

  • Low Cost – Less than $300/credit (2018-2019 tuition)

  • Available Degrees– Associate in Arts, Associate in Ministry Leadership, BA’s in Ministry Leadership, Business, and Psychology, and Certificate in Ministry Leadership.

  • Online Courses – The NPP is an online program with an option of facilitated meetings.

  • Free Internship Credit: Students can earn 3 credits per semester for their internship work, for free!

  • Strong and successful program – Northwest has collaborated with local churches and ministries for over 12 years. As of fall 2018, the Northwest Partnership Program includes over 70 partners in 13 states, and close to 400 students.

  • Student Academic Support – Students have access to a full range of online tutoring services as well as academic success support from your NPP coordinator and NU staff. The NPP is an excellent learning environment for students who need more personal academic support and structure.
